Lena Oehmsen was born on 02.02.1983 in Hamburg, Germany. She was raised and went to school in a small town called Wentorf close to Hamburg.

 After graduating in 2002 at the Gymnasium Wentorf, Lena took of to Toronto, where she did an internship at Edward Burtynsky Photography and Toronto Image Works for four months. Back in Germany she did another internship at the Thalia Theatre in Hamburg.

In those two months she was assisting the set-designers of two plays. Lena is going to start studying Photography in fall 2003. Either in Germany or Canada.
