Glenda’s
Piano Career Studies started when she was seven years old, at the “Elementary
School of Arts” in Cuba where her mentors were Vivian Rodriguez, Miriam Valdes
and Rosa Maria Tolon.
She
graduated under scholarship from the Royal Conservatory of Music and recently
won a scholarship from the University of Toronto continuing her studies at the
Faculty of Music in the Bachelor of Piano Performance.
She has
performed as a soloist accompanied by Counterpoint Community Orchestra conducted
by Terry Kowalczuc and instructed by John Alonso. Besides Classical Music, she
is playing different styles of music joined established bands and recognized
musicians in the Toronto such as LATIN STREET, Hilario
Duran, etc

Achievement Awards 2003 in the "Best New Talent of the Year" category,
2nd place at Kiwanis Piano Festival 2000 and 2002, 1rst Place "Amadeo

Graduated in trumpet from the
Amadeo Roldan Conservatory of Music in Cuba. In Cuba he played with Omara
Portuondo from Buenavista Social Club and other well known bands.
Alexis has become one of the most
requested trumpet player in Canada due to his versatility and ability to
play R&B, Jazz, Latin Jazz, Cuban music and many other musical styles.
In Canada he has played with Bill
King, Norman Villanece, Wade O Brown, Devine Earth & Essence, Puentes
Brothers, Hilario Duran and he recently was selected to play with the formed
orchestra to accompany the legendary famous American vocal group
"Temptations"
In May 2003, he was part of the
youth orchestra organized to play in the 50 Anniversary's concert
dedicated to Dizzie Gillespie, Charlie Parker, Bud Powell, and Max Roach
in Massey Hall.

Kervin Barreto
Kervin Barreto
Kervin Barreto - Graduated in trumpet from the National
Institute of Arts in Havana, Cuba. During his years of musical studies, he was
selected for the student's band "Dizzie Guillespie All Star'' band created
in the Amadeo Roldan Conservatory.
In Cuba he played with Klimax, one of the most famous salsa
bands of these times, conducted by Giraldo Piloto.which participated in many
festivals all over the world.
He has also shared stage in concerts with Chucho Valdes &
IRAKERE, Danilo Perez, currently pianist of Wayne Shorter's quartet, Steve
Coleman and Antonio Hart.
Kervin has performed at the Jazz Plaza Festival '02, '03, as
well as the Heineken jazz Festival '01 in Curacao, at the Pori Jazz Festival in
Finland.
Awards: 1rst Place Jojazz Festival.

Rafael Kuerti
Rafael Kuerti began
his cello studies at age 5 with his mother Kristine Bogyo. His subsequent
teachers were Clare Carberry and Simon Fryer. He is currently pursuing a
Bachelor of Music Degree at the University of Toronto under Shauna Rolston.
Rafael has been member of
the National Academy Orchestra in Hamilton under Boris Brott, the Toronto
Symphony Youth Orchestra, the principal and soloist with the Mooredale Youth
Orchestra, and is member of the Rydonk Quartet featured at the 2003 Festival of
the Sound and Kincardine Summer Festivals. He participated at the Scotiafest in
Halifax, at the chamber music program at the Banff Center and at Greenwood
Chamber Music Camp in Massachusets.

Luis Guerra

Luis Guerra is graduated from the National School of Arts in Cuba in piano
and choir conducting. He has played and recorded with relevant
Cuban musicians such as Irakere's founder Enrique Pla, Tony Perez and the Cuban
Jazz singer Mayra Caridad Valdes.
He is a constant researcher of all Jazz's musical styles and
its structures, as well as developing and following new trends in jazz and music
in general.
Luisito has participated in Jazz Plaza Festival and Jojazz Festival in Cuba,
Pierrefonds Festival in France, Montreal Jazz Festival, Ottawa Jazz
Festival and Toronto Jazz Festival in Canada.
In Canada, besides performing with different bands, he works
as a piano teacher in the Scarborough Conservatory of Music

Yoser Rodriguez
Yoser Rodriguez started his musical studies in guitar at the age of 10
at the Provincial School of Arts in Guantanamo
Yoser Rodriguez started his musical studies in guitar at the age of 10
at the Provincial School of Arts in Guantanamo, Cuba. For several years, he
participated in several Classical Guitar Competition and was awarded the 1rst
Place in the Amadeo Roldan Festival 3 times.
After he completed the elemental level, he moved to Havana and decided to
study bass-guitar + upright bass, being part of the Jazz Band Orchestra at the
National School of Arts, where he graduated with honors.
Once graduated, he began to play with famous Cuban salsa bands, among
them Rojitas,
Fiebre Latina. At the same time he participated in Jazz Plaza Festival '99, '01 and other
festivals.
In Canada, joined to recognized bands, he has played in the Distillery
Jazz Festival, Latin Fest Festival and other events.

Roberto Martinez
Roberto Martinez
Roberto Martinez - Graduated in saxophone from the National
School of Arts in Havana, Cuba.
As many Cuban musicians, his love for jazz, led him to
participate in the Cuban JoJazz Festival 2000 and raised with the 1rst
Place and was selected to record his first CD which was produced by Chucho
Valdes. At those times he was 17 years old.
He is presently leading his own band and is working in
original music and arrangements
Roberto has played with recognized Jazz musicians such
as Bobby Carcasses, Cesar Lopez, Roberto Carcasses, el Greco and the Canadian
singer Jennifer Dyan and Cash Coin. Currently he performs at different venues
and festivals in Canada.

Prix de Saxofón Luis Casas Romeu; Concurso Nacional de Saxofón de la Habana Música
Clásica 1999 Internacional; Concurso Internacional Jojazz; Asociación
