Maylin Ortega Zulueta
Maylin Ortega Zulueta - After graduating in 1994 from the Conservatory Amadeo
Roldan in Cuba as a Professor of Theory + Musical Subjects Diploma, she worked
as Music teacher in several conservatories in Cuba.
At the same time, she was part of the Cuban National Choir, being involved in
musical projects and played with the Fenix vocal group, Project Cuban Salsa Band
as well as the all female band "Caramelo Son".
Besides music, she has also experience in theatre acting since she played in
La Rueda theatre, in Havana and participated in musicals.
In Canada she is member of the Palestrina Choir from Columbus Centre.

Alberto Suarez

Alberto Suárez was born in Matanzas, Cuba – a
city famous for its rich musical history and Rumba rhythms. He began to
study percussion at the age 13, and completed formal years of training at both,
the Matanzas Provincial Music School and the National School of Arts in Havana.
After graduated, Alberto work as a professor
teaching percussion rudiments and techiques at the Conservatory of Music
as well as a musical accompanist for the Dance Faculty of the Academy for
the Performing Arts in Matanzas.
He came to Canada in 2003 where he has
participated in International Percussion festivals in Toronto and Longuei,
Quebec and played in several venues including The Rex, Lula Lounge, Red Violin
and Cervejaria. He is currently performing with the Nick Ali band.

Luis Celis
Graduated in percussion from the Conservatory of Music in Cienfuegos.
In his early teens Luis’s talents were recognized by many bands that were
eager to have him play either the congas or timbales. Luis’s enthusiasm is
magnetic and his passion is consistently felt by the audience he performs for.
In Cuba he
performed in the International Cabaret and the Varadero Folkloric Ensemble.
In Canada
he has played in Harbourfront Centre, Latin Fest Festival, CNE, etc

Victor
began his young career at the age of 19 in the city of Toronto.
He has
managed to achieve a rapid progress in the Toronto Latin music scene performing
with Toronto’s finest names in Latin/Cuban music such as “Luis Mario Ochoa y
Cimarron,” Julio Cesar Jimenez and currently with LATIN STREET directed by
Mario “Mayito” Del Monte Jr. who tutor Victor these days in the fine art of
Percussion.

Ruben Esguerra
Ruben
"Benny" Esguerra - Graduated from York University. After arriving to
Canada from Colombia in 1988, he began studying the violin and represented
Canada as a member of the Winona string ensemble at a music festival in Harogate,
England in 1992.
However,
his musical interest shifted towards Latin American music and the percussion
instruments. Currently, Ruben is an active percussionist in Toronto's Latin
music scene and credits local musicians such as Luisito Orbegoso, Michael
Marcuzzi and his boyz from Da P-Crew for inspiring him to perform Latin and
Cuban music.His interests center in music from the African Diaspora focusing on
Afro-Cuban and Afro-Colombian music. Presently, he is working on his Masters in
ethnomusicology and directing ensembles at York university.

Rob Mosher

Canadian saxophonist and
composer Rob Mosher (www.robmosher.com)
is rapidly emerging as one of the country's most versatile musicians. Rob enjoys
performing in any context that comes his way and has found himself mostly in the
jazz, improvised, classical and new-music classical styles.
For two years Rob has composed
and performed with the 40 Fingers Saxophone Quartet. He regularly performs John
Zorn's "Cobra", a large-ensemble piece in which musicians must
function within strict pre-established rules while playing to an improvised
script of events.
His diverse musical
experiences include him as soloist under the baton of Alain Trudel. Rob is a
graduate of the University of Toronto’s Jazz Performance program. In the
summer of 2004, Rob will be attending the world-renowned Banff International
Jazz and Creative Music Program led by trumpeter Dave Douglas.

Robelcy Martinez

Robelcy Martinez - After completed his elementary music
studies in Cienfuegos, he continues at the National School of Arts in Havana
where graduated in percussion.
As a child, he played in the "Cielito Band", "Iya"
and the popular "Ismaelillo" band participating in several children
festivals.
As professional musician of Rojitas's band, he has shared
stage with the most popular salsa bands in Cuba including Van Van Orchestra,
Adalberto Alvarez y su Son, Irakere, etc.
In Canada, he has performed in the Grand Prix (a la Queue de
Cheval) in Montreal, Latin Fest '03, Lula Lounge, Revival joined recognized
Latin bands
